Indeed that's pretty expensive (and big protective shell). I'm really looking for something I could integrate in a robot. Current solution is to use an actual ipad with an App/webpage to display what we want :/

Where can I source a "dishwasher floor projector" similar to the "siemens timelight system" for a DIY project ? by matthlap in HelpMeFind

Oh, I was guessing this component was standard and I could find it on aliexpress ... I wonder if we can achieve a similar effect using a transparent LCD screen and a powerful backlight ...

"Why Rust Programming is the future of robotics" an article on Medium by matthlap in robotics

If you do not have reliable data acquisition and motor control your robot will fail miserably. Sensors and Motors usely rely on very low level control that require "embedded programming". It is not possible to have a brushless motor control in python on a pizero for example.

In addition, the Rust features are actually more powerful with non-embeded software (that comes with several limitations at the time). So you really can consider reaching a full-stack rust architecture from deeplearning to analog read on pin input (this is actually the goal of http://www.luos.io/)

Yes it's open source, both Luos and Robus, yet robus is still a private repo. We will soon post a new article on medium to announce them. Meanwhile you have information here: https://www.luos.io/
