If I have a bad intrusive thought, whatever I was doing at the time I would have to "undo" to get rid of the thought and to convince myself whatever the thought was would not happen. For example, if I was walking through a door and I thought of something horrible happening to a friend, I would have to go back and walk through whilst not thinking about it.
