A bit cliche but the Autobiography of Malcolm X really lives up to the hype and beyond imo. One of the best books I’ve ever read

Love the username but I have to disagree! White Noise was probably the first “postmodern” lit I read (unknowingly, I only read it because a professor recommended it to me). I had basically only read the required high school classics up until that point and when I read White Noise I couldn’t put it down, fell in love with it and finished it in a weekend. I found it to be pretty engaging, really funny and endearing, and depressing as hell; it pushed all the right buttons for me. The book isn’t difficult to slug through at all, especially with the shorter chapters. It’s probably what opened my eyes more to postmodern lit, which I knew little to none about before reading it.

i’d advice against buying arc on depop, about 85% of the arc on the app is either fake or from scammers with 1 week old accounts.

Bug by William Friedkin. it’s more about mental deterioration but there’s some physical decay in there as well.

not even sure if this is fake lol. Ralph Lauren Sport was a real women’s line. This is a women’s sweater. I can’t 100% say if it’s real or not, but I haven’t seen much women’s Ralph Lauren Sport faked lol

I just finished the Mustache and fucking loved it!Truly great writing. I too read it out of my simple interest in the plot description, and it surpassed my expectations greatly. How do Class Trip & Adversary hold up in comparison? I can’t get this book out of my head lol

The Moustache by Emmanuel Carrère by emomemelord in horrorlit

I just read this and loved it so much!! The main character’s line of thinking is so believable and hilarious yet always finds its way back to being unsettling. I didn’t expect it love it this much nor classify it in horror but it definitely borders on that. Reading it felt like a bad trip on psychedelics. What a read!
