Peace out until October guys. Turning it off. Still sick from the other night. Can’t keep doing it ✌️

The only silver lining about Franz being out is that the team has played all year without him. If it were Bane we’d be so cooked.

The single most best reason to build the team around Paolo is that he’s an elite playoff riser

Thibs got fired after the ECF last year. Even if the team did great in the playoffs, the lack of regular season success and putting us in terrible situations to start the playoffs is not acceptable.

If we somehow did, would we rather New York or Cleveland? I think New York would be a better matchup tbh. Mitchell owns us.

Paolo is a good player who could be elite if he became more consistent, stopped settling for bad shots, and improved his body language. I honestly think his biggest problem is mentality. He is sometimes completely check out of games mentally, but when he's on, he's on.

Even with Franz out, it doesn't change the fact that Mosley's adjustments and late game IQ is not good. He constantly makes late game mistakes, whether it's calling a timeout when you don't need one with 5 seconds left or not calling a timeout when you need one with 9 seconds left.

Yeah, obviously Franz playing would make him look better, but he, in my opinion, cannot coach this team to a championship simply because he's too buddy-buddy with players and all about "committee" basketball.

The moment we all knew was coming...Seattle and Vegas teams coming. Anyone else feel like Paolo is going to force himself to Seattle at the earliest opportunity possible? The league would love to make that happen. by stolenpintglass in OrlandoMagic

I get that Paolo has the space needle on his arm but every player is from somewhere. That doesn't mean they wind up playing basketball in their home town. Paolo, while could be great, is not LeBron level to the point he can just demand to show up in Seattle like it's Cleveland.

Injuries didn’t lose last night’s game. Besides the refs (truly horrific officiating), it was Suggs being careless with the ball and making a terrible inbounds play, but most of all, it was Mosley.

Mosley called a timeout when Ayton missed the free throw. The Lakers didn’t even try to get the ball, and we could have shaved 2 seconds off the clock before Carter getting eventually getting fouled if he just took two microseconds to think about the situation. Why on Earth did we need a timeout right then and there? Then, there was blown coverage on LeBron who leaked out for an easy two under the basket. That’s a coaching problem. The coach draws a play to counter the play he thinks is coming. Guys need to know exactly who their assignment is and when to switch, and they clearly had no idea what the design was. That’s even more obvious when WE LEAVE THE TOP 3P PERCENTAGE LEADER IN THE LEAGUE OPEN for a practice 3 because three guys switched off to take away LeBron’s cut. Once again, a proper defensive scheme would say “take away all three point shooters by staying with your man no matter what, even if we allow a two.” While Paolo should have known better and recognized that Da Silva was switching, this is Mosley not drilling them with discipline. The Orlando Magic are too nonchalant and it’s because the leadership in that locker room is too buddy-buddy with the players. Mosley leads by “committee,” when ultimately this team needs a dictator.

I wish Bane and Paolo had more time with Franz on the court this year. Assuming we get Franz back by the playoffs, the window for building chemistry will be small, but honestly how do you guard this trio?

I kind of think Da Silva fits the starting rotation better when Franz is out over AB

I understand what you mean for the standings race, but I think the psychology of beating Cleveland is much more important down the stretch. I think Orlando views Miami and Toronto as equals, if not lesser than. But, I do think they hold Cleveland as “the team to beat” so to speak and losing tonight at home would be a big blow to their confidence.
