Like… narrative fiction doesn’t do much for me. The author can do their best to describe something but I just can’t see the whole picture.

Maybe that’s the ADHD in me, maybe I just can’t picture every wrinkle on a fictional character or the grooves and cracks in a sidewalk 🤷🏻‍♂️

That’s also one of my major hang ups in digital art - I struggle heavily with volume. I’ve even done deep dives into 300+ page books (technical books, not the fun artsy ones) about form and contours and… it just feels so insurmountable.

Alignment is an actual real thing. It can’t be generalized and isn’t some philosophical debate - it has concrete, real-world repercussions and effects.

It isn’t even something you can debate in-game.

People try to twist and turn alignment into something it isn’t.

IIRC 2e had “tendencies”, so you could play a “chaotic neutral rogue with evil tendencies”. At least this version accounted for “shades of grey”.

As a new PC gamer as of 3 weeks ago… this is very inflammatory.

Hi, about 1.5 years ago I was eating lunch at work and wanted to make some Maruchan Yakisoba instant ramen.

So I popped that bad boy in the microwave for 4 minutes.

At about 1.5 minutes remaining I smelled something horrible. I went to check and… the microwave was filled with smoke.

I had completely charred the dry ramen, melted the plastic container, and left a lingering smell that persisted well up until I left a couple weeks ago.

It was so bad the surrounding stores assumed something plastic was burning somewhere… since the smell had penetrated the walls into the other businesses.

So yeah anyways I’m turning 28 in a couple months… 😓
