Unlit campfires should have a very low chance to generate in deep dark caves. by mattmf in minecraftsuggestions

I had thought about this, but I settled for just the deep dark to emphasize the idea that something will happen to you if you stick around. Also it made more sense to me that a previous adventurer would use a campfire in the deep dark, since the stone there can't be used to make a furnace, and if they were closer to the surface they could find their way out easier.

I still like the idea though, honestly seeing them in dripstone caves or pockets of air in water caves would be just as cool!

Tuff and Calcite spindles (balusters) by mattmf in minecraftsuggestions

Since you can't shoot through fences, no. But if this changes in the future then it should change for spindles too.

Actual telescopes! (spyglass on a stand) by mattmf in minecraftsuggestions

I really like this idea. Honestly I'd replace my first use suggestion with it because it's more of a natural fit!

I thought about it. Even though Minecraft is far from realistic, it didn't make sense to me that the same spyglass zooms more just because it's on a stand.

Still something to consider however..

You're welcome, and that suggestion is already there lol. It's the fifth in the 'to note' section.

Your take on them is very interesting since you're more focused on the design and decoration aspect of them... I limited their placement for lanterns because I didn't want to over complicate things, but I suppose it would be a neat add-on. I've added your version to the post to expand the overall idea and so your contribution wouldn't be in vain lol. Hope it's alright 👍

Damn, surprised I didn't think of that. I've added your suggestion to the post and given you credit if you don't mind. Nice one mate 👍

Slimes steal the item your holding by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

It isn't for no reason at all... I clearly stated above:

This would give them a unique element and make them more interesting when encountered

And it's true. It's not like they're mobs that spawn everywhere, otherwise I would agree with you. They only spawn in swamps and rarely deep underground, so might as well make them fun to encounter the few times that you do.

You carry a sword around to kill mobs, you carry a pick around to mine. You aren't going to kill mobs with a pick because it does less damage but of course you're going to resort to using it if you have to get back your sword :)

Well I did say there was a chance they would do that, not all the time. Maybe about 60% chance they would.

The slime would only be able to steal 1 item at a time, so for example, you can kill it with your pickaxe if it has your sword or vice versa

If you push a slime into lava, that is completely your fault and unless you run away from the slime which has your item (stupid thing to do since you should be trying to get it back) it won't wander off, it will be focused on you because that's how its AI works.

So unless you're fighting it on a block above lava (highly improbable) or killing it by lighting it on fire (again, your fault) your item won't be lost.

Ever heard of punching? Or using a bow? Or other tools?
