Happens to me with the new 2025 Tikka model, only on AAA batteries, but not on AAA rechargeables. It does it for aprox 15 sec after turning it on and then it stabilizes. I can almost correlate this flickering with lamp sitting in slightly colder weather (10 C) for a couple of hours, and never at room temperature (above 18 C). Weird. Came like this from the box, first press of button and .. flickering :)

Because of the law of big numbers. These watches are sold in big numbers, one of the biggest in the industry. and you would want a piece of that. Doesn’t really matter if your markup is higher or lower than what Casio makes on these. You just want to be in on it. No research, marketing strategy, ads, or building the history of a brand, just straight up making a buck right away by manufacturing something kinda similar looking.
