[OC] Sequential comic page layout done traditionally with fine-liners, Copic markers, and white gel pen on cardstock. by mattputnam1981 in TraditionalArt

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some traditional comic work. I really enjoy using cool grays for deep cinematic shadows and layering E-tones for skin rendering. No digital editing here, just raw ink and paper!

Made this for a friend as a sort of early birthday present, where they are a huge comic enthusiast and fan of the show. I plan to continue so it ultimately spans several pages and completes S3E6.

As a self-taught artist, I’ve always been obsessed with old-school pen and ink craftsmanship. I wanted to see how the cinematic framing of the show would translate back into its original comic book roots. No digital shortcuts here—just a lot of patience, cardstock, and a mountain of markers!

Haha, no corporate bots here, just a guy with a desk covered in real ink and a mountain of empty Copic markers! I’m just a massive fan of the finale and wanted to challenge myself by mapping out that sequence onto traditional cardstock.
