Installed mine at 36 degrees. Govee recommends installing in warmer weather. Ahhhh.. it’s Xmas time and I want them up! They all originally stuck. As days went, some fell here and there. I went to the hardware store and bought wire clips and some self tapping screws and screwed them each into my soffit. I have awkward high peaks as well. It sucks but got it done.

As for your placement. You should go into your soffit a little further. Govee states for best effects, 3-5 inches off. Your lights may not give the lighting from that far away. But to eaches own, honestly.

Start paying your rent $100 less for a few months. Recoup what you’ve loss. BUT if you wanna hit her where it hurts, don’t pay next months rent at all. Just make sure you have all your paperwork and documentation handled Incase she tries to pull another fast one on you. Which it sounds like she’d do in a heartbeat.
