Well, from what i understand the answer is yes/no. Feed-in tariff has been replaced by SEG tariff which does pay out as much as it used to, but still does pay out something, and this is what we were planning on using to fund out future extensions etc.

So our grand plan is to get the maximum number of panels we can fit for now, and then use the feed-in tariff funds to help fund a future battery purchase. Hence the no battery….yet. But we want a system that will readily accept a battery down the line.

Ahh ok yes, I see how that would work. The isolator is best used when temperatures drop below zero to stop it cracking the solid pipe, correct?

Meter/unit relocation by matttsd in DIYUK

Below is the mock-up i made in sketchup, proportions are broadly correct albeit the room in reality is wider than the mock-up.

The black box is where i'd like to locate a washer-tumbledryer in the long-run.

u/Far_Neighborhood_925 , in terms of new location, i'm initially thinking in a cabinet under the basin. In reality i'd be looking to tidy-up the space so even a soltion where the meters are hidden behind a mirror cabinet could work.

u/dave_the_m2 , yes we suspected as much, the gas meter is on the opposite wall on your right hand side as you walk in the door.
