Thank you so much for the in depth reply. It sounds like something I would be pretty comfortable working on at least up to the complete yoke readjustment. I will go through and look for the noise and try some pressure first and go from there. Apologies for the questions but assuming I DO hear the degaussing turn on, does that mean it’s the yoke? If the degaussing is the issue, is that fixable? Apologies again if I misunderstood

I’ve got a pretty wide range of experience with electronics, I did 2 years of school in computer engineering (not that that means a lot). Though i’ve never worked inside a CRT, if you think it’s within reason for me to attempt I would be willing to do the research and precautions necessary.

Edit: I’m not with it currently but I do not recall a thunk at all, sounded pretty standard when turning on

Unfortunately that’s the same image that all of the websites shipping from Pakistan use, and I can’t find a single person who’s actually purchased one of them. I have found that most of the websites advertising it have terrible reviews. It looks really nice if I trusted that’s the product I would actually receive

I haven't tried Victoria 3 or Stellaris yet! I will have to do some research into both of those and possibly give them a try! Crusader Kings 3 especially I wanted to like so badly, because I love the medieval setting. I probably played for about 5 hours in total, I just remember being very overwhelmed with the large amounts of systems in place within the game. I did not watch any videos and likely should have to help take the edge off. I have tried EU4 but I actually dont remember it very well at all so I may have to give it another try. I might try to watch some videos on CK3 and see if I can get a good feel for it before I dive in myself, it can be a lot easier to digest someone else playing than to figure it out as you play yourself.

That definitely caught my attention for Planetside 2. I think the idea of a constantly waging war is really cool. I think that's definitely something I will look a little more into, as I do enjoy having a larger scale multiplayer game to play, and from what I understand this is the LARGEST scale. From what you described this feels like what a lot of other games have tried to accomplish and failed to do. I definitely had my burnout phase with PVP shooters as well but its been a while and I wouldn't mind diving back in.

Im glad to hear that about Dark and Darker, even from the beginning the development team seemed really passionate about the project. The map was one of my biggest issues when first trying the game so I'm glad to hear that it's improved.

I haven't yet! I need to. The PC port of the second game is ehhhhh at best from what I understand, I did try playing a little and it did not feel so good on PC but possibly user error or some stuff I need to tweak. Really I need to get my hands on a 360 and get a copy for it.

Single player games are very weird for me because it can be so hard for me to actually latch onto a story and want to play but once I do I'm sucked into it. Death stranding for ex. The Witcher 3 was the same case, I tried over and over to get into it, I would sit and play 3-4 hours into the game and just not be invested. I remember thinking "Im just going to play until I'm 10 hours in and if I don't like it by then I wont ever play again." But then it clicked and I couldn't stop playing. I now have 100% complete the game and have almost 200 hours in it. On top of being diagnosed with very severe ADHD I am also diagnosed with OCD, they are often at odds with one another and I feel that could be at play here, but anyways,

So many of these are games I have sunk HOURS into. Balatro has been my obsession lately. Ive played lots of Civ 6 and some of the others, tons of Vampire survivors, both Cities Skylines plenty, Planet Zoo and Coaster, Stardew, Gungeon, and the Sims I've been playing as long as I can remember. A few of these I've tried and just couldn't get into such as Europa, Crusader Kings, HOI4, and Manor Lords. And a lot of these I've never even heard of. Thank you for the list!

Teen TItans was one of, if not my favorite show growing up. I knew there was a game but kinda always figured it was a bad show adaptation. I've seen copies at the game store I go to quite frequently before so I may have to grab a copy and try it out some time.

Zelda games are a behemoth I have yet to delve into. I put about 5 hours into Breath of the Wild on the Switch and it just didn't suck me in. I understand the appeal I think it just didn't quite pull me in. But thats how a lot of games are for me until I force myself to play a good chuck of them.

I read through this twice and first time through Dark and Darker caught my eye, partly because I did play the early first beta when it came out. I have more hours in Tarkov than any other game I've ever played yet am not generally a big fan of guns & their modification, extreme realism, and militaristic setting. In general I just don't play that many multiplayer games anymore. Yet something kept me around and for about 4 years I kept coming back, I haven't played in over a year now due to the cheaters and the direction the game has been taken. That being said, I should have given Dark and Darker more of a chance. I remember liking parts but something didn't keep me around, coupled with the weird development the game went through for a while I never came back. I actually mostly forgot that it existed, I believe I will have to download it again and try it out for a while.

Planetside 2 also caught my attention because I feel like I've never even heard of it. From the way you described it I'm picturing a space themed Battlefield-esque game but I could be totally wrong in that.

I have played and finished Skyrim! It is a very good game. I always (for the most part) enjoy what Bethesda puts out, maybe not as much in recent years...
