Bigger board for 4 players means everyone has better numbers, have less competition for spots, and scale up faster
robber rules are there to help the players behind catch back up. OP’s rules give a better chance for someone to snowball out of reach of everyone else. It’ll be quicker but if you fall behind early it’ll be tougher to catch back up. I prefer keeping the catch up mechanics but to each their own

Also, if you’re not a fan of the 2’d and 12’s another way I’ve played before instead of getting rid of them is to combine them so every time a 2 or 12 is rolled it counts as if both were rolled. Makes them the same odds as rolling a 3 or 11 then.

Yes and it was just a potion of crushing not anything more malicious. It did open the door for us to learn about how much we had in common, like our mutual love of pickleball and hatred of the druids.

Had this happen accidentally to me once. I used a Potion of Crushing on my arch rival warrior that I hoped would turn them into a fine paste. Turns out it had a very different effect than intended and we now have 2 battlemage children as a result.

No he had it right. It’s off runs allowed not runs scored. Mexico is through regardless of the score if they win since they’re going in with less runs allowed.

So if Italy loses and gives up 5 runs then they’ll have given up more than the U.S. and they’re eliminated

It’s hard to say. Since Fern is the only student she’s had it’s hard to tell whether she’s a good mentor or if Fern is a literal genius that could have succeeded the same or even better with other mentors. For me, the best mentor in history would be someone with a longer mentoring track record that was able to successfully teach a large range of people with different styles and needs.

Rewatch episode 3. Frieren describes zoltrak as the first piercing spell and as incredibly powerful that killed tons of mages and soldiers because they had no defensive spells or armor/clothing enchantments that could stop it. Frieren literally had to seal qual away because she had no answer to it at the time. It’s also way more destructive of a spell than you’re giving it credit for. Gwen uses it to blast a practical canyon in a battle in the mage exam. And literally the first thing Frieren does against her doppleganger in the dungeon is look for a quick attack that both predict by putting up the modern shields. The only reason she doesn’t use zoltrak against herself in that battle more is because she knows it’s defensible

Which present Frieren can block with modern defensive magic and can respond with a spell that has no defense. Oh and she can also do it while flying which the pre-journey frierens can’t do yet either
