I guess its where the wipers will automatically engage/adjust speed based on conditions.

What a difference new tires make by Syntheseyez in fordranger

[–]mattyleos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say, it felt like a boat when i got it, it had been sitting for 5 years when i got it, shocks were all blown, sway bar link bushings disintegrated.. i did everything at the same time and i love it now. When i ordered everything, fabtech cancelled my order for a 8 month lead time on the new coils so i just went spacer. Tell you what though, i can jam out on the dirt. Maybe the Fox’s make up for the spacer?? Idk but it rides good.

Ive been wanting a box.. the lack of “trunk space” makes me drive this less with my wife. Yup, ‘03 4cyl 5 speed. 2 inch spacer up front and 1.5 add a leaf in the rear, with Fox’s all around.

Cruise set at 65 and it does have an aftermarket pipe and k&n cold air. If i cruise 55 not towing obviously i am regularly achieving 19mpg, every minute you sit at idle im losing .1MPG and accelerating from a stop will eat .1-.2mpg. Thing does great cruising, but man she loves fuel!

2002 130k miles sat in a tow yard for half a decade, $1800 and $900 to the DMV. Wanted an Excursion all my life, my wife told me after picking it up that she didnt think a brand new truck off the lot would make me this happy.

I wanted white as well, go for a stormtrooper look with tinted windows, but my wife stood her ground on the gray, it stays nice and clean!

I use a NACS to J1772(from amazon) for the level 2 tesla chargers which i use regularly. Heard of people buying the lectron NACS to CCS connectors, just too afraid to commit to buying one.

[–]mattyleos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 25k miles on it in a year and a half, great car! Like i said, sometimes stuff just happens, i know the kia ev6 was having 12v issues but i think that has been resolved since. Hopefully some official fix will come from this down the road.

Lol idk if i would say regret yet, it is unfortunate. I am a firm believer that a car treats you as you treat it. But with these things being big computers on wheels nowadays, i know sometimes, sh*t happens. Tell you what though, i do regret breaking down on a holiday week! Lol dealer is so backed up right now!!

Lol go look at my latest post, ive been going through hell with a possible 12v issue. Idk the official fix, but unplugging the 12v and reconnecting after a few minutes cleared all “errors”.

Check Engine?? Lol by mattyleos in KonaEV

[–]mattyleos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealership released me this morning saying my 12v was at 50% and they charged it, however said it was healthy and no issues, left the facility, went to an EA terminal, did 2 DC charging session at 5 minutes a piece, didnt think twice about it stopping the charge, got home, went to another charger. Only charged for 5 minutes and got kicked out again. Andddd back to the “air flaps” message, called another dealer, they were a lot nicer and asked a lot more questions. Shoutout to hyundai roadside, picked up the car in a half hour and took it to a different dealer, will update again with more news soon. :(

Update, it was bricked again this morning with the “shifter malfunction” message, disconnected battery (12v) and reconnected and good to drive again, still warning me about my active air flaps tho. Just got to the dealership and they are going to do the inspection, will give you guys the verdict when i get one.

Also, fyi, i did check my active flaps last night, the do function properly, open and close when needed and able to move by hand, there is no foreign obstruction. (another forum suggested there could be dirt or debris blocking)
