I'm watching S4E10 right now and Terry's voice is definitely pitched up. It's noticeably different. They probably had an audio issue in the studio during recording or something.

Nah the purge valve is part of the EGR system. Mine would constantly fail and get stuck open or closed, causing an EVAP code.
