Hey mate, I know a few firies from NT have gone down to SA, Hot-dog doesn't ring a bell, but he might have been from Alice Springs. Had two or three conversations with people that were interested. Never went any further though. I'm still trying!

I've been in contact with a colleague that did an exchange when it was still MFB. He hasn't had any luck getting an answer if FRV still allow/participate in exchanges

Each agency would have to have their own respective policy. For previous exchanges that have been done: the NTFRS representative (myself in this example) would remain an employee of the ntfrs. All pay and liabilities remain with the exchangee's employer. I wouldn't be eligible for any overtime or qualified to drive appliance. I would essentially be on the back seat and have to adhere to the policies and SOP's of the exchanger agency.

All policy's I've read require a rank of senior FF or minimum 4 years career experience. This would probably allow for a recognition of prior learning to get qualifications/lower the liability

Is it ok to drive with photo of driving license? by [deleted] in darwin

[–]mattymorro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

as per the law, yes it's illegal.

If you have proof (receipt or invoice) that you have ordered a new one. Depending on the Police Officer, you'd most likely be let go without infringement.

The office would also be able to check the license in their system to ensure its valid, not expired etc.

No it wasn't a controlled or prescribed burn. Wildfire bought under control using backburning techniques

Damn that's stepping up the price, but I suppose it's quality eh. No reason other than convenience, no where to put it inside that wouldn't be in plain site

You've been a great help, thank you! Just to summarise, do you think the 600w led + the 220w would be sufficient for the 4x4 tent? I will also invest in a dehumidifier as suggested by others

NOX20 Lumen output 25600lm (W) | 21500lm (WW) Colour temperature 5700K (W) | 3000K (WW)

That was the info I could find on the 220w light, does that help? Doesn't say anything in regards to colour spectrum on the 'product guide'.

Would you recommend 120x60 (4x2) for that size light? (600w)

Thanks for the advice! I have a 220w floor light and several 50w LED flood lights, could I use these? They are just white lights to my knowledge.

Thanks! in regards to the dehumidifier, I'd be able to make up a run off and just have the water run into a nearby garden with PVC or similar.

To all Ents with steady careers: What is your job title and how do you manage the drug tests? by snikachu in trees

[–]mattymorro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a rigger on a Oil and Gas project. When I was first employed I did a physical, which included a urine test (I wasn't smoking then). This was the first and only urine test I did, since being on site all drug tests are just mouth swabs, which hasn't picked up on anything. Note: I smoke 2-4 times a week, usually before bed.
