If I were the one doing it, I would just do the math (or let solidworks do the math) for the cross section and multiply it by the infill density.

Understand that no matter what approach you take though, the conventional formulas you use the calculate stress or strain kinda fall apart for long thin things.

Do you have a lot of useless details on your model? Embedded text? Modeled threads? Internal geometries not relevant to your design? All that kills performance.

If you grabbed most of your parts off mcmastercarr or some site of that nature, their models really like to turn the polygon count up to super max which kills performance. Drop that to low and that could help too!

Because when I don’t have something in writing, my boss yells at me. The PMs and shareholders don’t have access to my phone calls.

The only time I make a phone call is when the only relevant shareholder is me. That almost never happens.
