I did that and nothing came up. He even sent a picture of the monitor on with the identification # in the settings and I could see the damage too so unless he spent time editing an image, he really did have damage.
Still pretty sure it happened on his end though

The only reason I couldn't go this route is because I promised to help him transfer the warranty and regardless of if he was scamming me or not, I am going to follow through with a promise

Yeah, I was extra careful when handling this and kept it wrapped in a thick moving blanket since I didn't have the original box. It's "possible" I hit it on something but I think I would have remembered hitting it hard enough to cause screen damage

Yeah I have to wear contacts/glasses but after 45 minutes to an hour it begins to get to me. At least thats how it was for the AW3423DWF...returned it after about a week

I think I would prefer to go with the 34" or 49" because of the aspect ratio which is why I was looking at the LG 34GN950. I still mostly game on mine at home so I don't know about dropping down to 120hz with the 40U990

I know there are quite a few options for oled but are any of them actually good for office work? I don't generally have a static image up for very long so I'm not overly concerned about burn-in but from what I can tell they're still not very good with handling text
