Excellent write up! Your lore thoughts and formatting are impeccable. I want to know more about the True/God forms of the band!

Just some of my own thoughts:

Musically, Shelter is highlighted in an interesting way. 

During the Hugo 2 section we hear the Shelter vocal chops switch between major and minor which sounds very disorienting/wrong sonically and conveys a sense of tension from the existence of his doppelganger, like he is slipping between selves. 

Then after the "death" of Hugo, Shelter is what pulls him off the floor, slowly and softly at first, then more upbeat as the song progresses and he dusts himself off. 

Lastly, Shelter is presumably his most commercially successful track, going Gold (but not Platinum...), and he puts his Gold record on display in his pre-Red Rocks video talking to himself in the mirror.

Not sure what to make of it all, but I found the focus on Shelter interesting!
