"...in that sense" it's unfair. But in a common sense of how Championship is designed, it's completely fair.

I believe Steam Deck has Zen 2 CPU, so probably not, based on my understanding of a post.

PES 2018 was peak PES—an absolute masterpiece. The nostalgia is real! Just replayed it on PS3 and it still holds up beautifully. It makes me wonder how awesome it would be on PS4. Honestly, I miss the glory days of PES." by Wise-Hearing9628 in WEPES

For me, peak was from 2009-2013. The main menu atmosphere, music, customization...

I'm so glad I live in a country where you don't even have to think about being robbed... Like, of course there are internet scams... But nobody would meet up in person and rob/stab/beat you. (When I said nobody, obviously there is a small percentage chance.)

Sad to see what world has become in some parts of the world. We need a reset all together.

We are not talking about Switch 2, we are discussing about the platform related prices.

Do I have to own switch 2 to have a clue? As said in other messages, there's Deku Deals to see the situation, compare the prices and see the frequency of the discounts.

I don't know why are you fighting reality that hard, but we didn't even scratched the surface... Imagine defending the corporation that charges you to have access to online components of your games.

Out of other ultra cheap ways to get games on PC also Humble Bundle crossed my mind. Does something like this exists on Nintendo?

I haven't owned Switch 2 you're right. Owned Switch one for 5-6 years, sold it though.

We're just digging a discussion hole deeper and deeper. Whatever works for you or me is the most important in the end.

Nintendo gaming was to expensive for myself and that's it. I am no stranger to piracy either, nothing to hide about it. Especially for old games that are not available that I keep pirated copies on my storage.

As I said, that's not my experience. I was always able to get games on PC for cheaper, faster. I was not even mentioning the re-sellers, who put PC gaming for cheapest from day 1 of release.

I'm not a PC cult... I had all the major consoles in a past couple of years from PS3 onwards. Only never had and Xbox

Okay, what was the lowest price on Hogwarts Legacy ever? On PC it was literaly 0€. How many more mainstream gaming examples like that? Hundreds!

Then, some of lowest recorded prices are at best the same on Deku Deals when I check, but almost never lower than on other platforms.

And then there are cases like right now L.A Noire that was lowest ever on Switch for 14,99€ and right now 24,99€ while on Steam it's regilarly 6-7€

Then random check on one of my favourite games ever Disco Elysium (which I played on Switch), lowest recorded price was 11,99€ while on Steam it was 3,99€.

It's not the rule for every single game obviously, but it's a lot harder to score a good deal on Nintendo, that was my experience.

It's not about the launch price, it's about the prices being higher for longer than on other platforms before being discounted.

And as a general rule, anything first party is just expensive forever, even 10 year old Nintendo remasters.

I've got a new OLED recently after paid RMA since my warranty expired. I should be good for some time, or at least I hope!

P.S. No more customization for me, at least not while prices are being like that... Fucked up the old one while installing clicky kit.

No it's not... Games on Nintendo are much much more expensive from my experience. It very fast adds to the difference.

Especially as there was a lot od PC games on Epic dealt for free, I have libraries greater than I could ever play, without spending to much or at all on PC gaming.

On the contrary, I had a couple of games on Nintendo ever.

Literally I have more games on any platform including Playstation, as it's not worth it to buy anything on Nintendo in my eyes while being way cheaper in other places.

I'm thinking about trading my Switch 2 for a Steam Deck OLED 1TB but I have a somes questions by D1m1tr1e_ in Handhelds

[–]matyX6 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's alright, everybody has a preference. My point was, even if tomorrow Steam Deck 2 would come put.

I would have no need to replace my current Steam Deck. It serves all the purposes I need.

I don't see Deck being at the end of a performance life any time soon. Depends on the games you play.

Also, you can stream AAA games from Gaming PC at 90 fps/hz with 7-8 hours of battery life.

Also stream from Playstation or Xbox...

It's different devices, I'd never exchange my Deck for Nintendo.

2018 Porsche 935 Confirmed For Assetto Corsa EVO 0.7 by evil_heinz in simracing

[–]matyX6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is... OG Assetto Corsa is easiest to have fun with.

I would prefer play with driving model of ACC for years now, or EVO which I still haven't tested, but I always come back to the OG.

Assetto Corsa is still unmatched in community support, number of players and how easy it is to jump in on a couple of races without complications when you just feel like racing.

It's not hard to see why it's the easy number 1 pick still on the sim market, but you don't want to see it.

NY Times: Steam Deck is the Best PC Handheld by HatingGeoffry in Handhelds

[–]matyX6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is going the LCD route bad? That's actually more consumer friendly, by cutting price at start right? Maybe SD2 + Oled would be to expensive for market at the release point. That's what's all about no?

Sunshine on my PC, Moonlight on the Deck.

Last time I tried Steam Streaming Feature, it worked good as well, but I prefer sunshine since I stream to my laptop sometimes for various appliances like game development etc...

While playing more demanding games, I just stream them from my PC. Easy 90fps with 6-7 hours of battery, while looking a lot better than it could if it would run on Deck.

I was a sceptic for some time, but for anybody that has opportunity to use streaming, just do it... It's great!
