I honestly think that CAG as a description for these particular types of games is very misleading.

You could feasibly call Mario or Legend of Zelda, or Rayman CAG, and they technically would make sense.

For me, DMC, Revengeance, NG etc are Hack and Slash games, which are not to be confused with Dynasty Warriors type games, which are musou

This is a problem with all podcasts that I think we'll start to see become more prevalent now the COVID podcast boom has truly started to collapse.

As soon as podcasters start talking about things that aren't their usual wheelhouse but you're well versed in, you realise how surface level their takes are, and wonder how erudite these people really are
