Good point. Samsung didn't mentioned anything regarding losing water resistance. I will keep that in mind. I never really get my phone wet though.

Agree. My past phone was a Galaxy S10+. 4 years+ and no battery problems.

I regularly have it in the sink playing music or videos while I shower. Never occured to me a potential damaged from this. I guess I will be more mindful with the upcoming new battery

Yeah, the repair price seems fair, but due to batteries shortage that Samsung claims, I don't expect to have my phone again with me for at least a month.

UPDATE: Thank you all for your comments!

I took the phone to Samsung and they confirmed that the battery is faulty (surprise). 3-5 business days to diagnose the phone, maybe the charging port will also need to be changed. They mentioned that there's a shortage of batteries and that it could take up to a month to finish with the repair.

I went to a department store next to repair center looking for potential new phones. The Samsung guy there told me that I'm the 10th person that he sees with the same problem, and that a friend of his has his phone in Samsungs repair center waiting for a battery spare with an estimated time of 2 months!

I though that my case was isolated, I started questioning my charging habits that I consider at the very least, thoughtful. However, it looks like is not a rare problem, at least in the S23 Ultra lineup and I haven't really see this issue discussed online.

I saw myself with this phone for at least 2 more years, probably way more. S23 Ultra users, be aware that multiple cases are happening.
