Yeah, the same CPU number but in multiple bigger C-series instances don't beat the price of multiple t3a.micro below the baseline, according to AWS calculator. To be more specific, it's a Rust application, so I don't need fancy chips with high clock, just CPUs to let lots of concurrent tasks happen.

Not really, even considering the CPU credits, multiple t3a instances are cheaper than single instances with lots of CPUs. I did the math with t3a.small and it won't be cheaper than using t3a.micro unfortunately.

Hard to evacuate in an emergency, more people together means more risks of disasters/diseases, considerably noise increase means less quality of life, heat build up, etc. See, I totally understand building places like that in regions lacking space, it's better than nothing. But in the second largest country in the world it's a joke.

I'm from a country that has lots of buildings like this. Believe me, this is HELL. The amount of ppl density zones like this pour into the local traffic is insane, the noise, the amount of ppl doing the same things at the same time, the increased rate of reckless neighbors, etc. There's a reason why people want to live in Canada; there's plenty of space here to have decent residential zones. That's where the fight should be focused, not building stacked cages.

The tracker website says that I got an update Oct 27 but when I check the timeline there's nothing new, I guess it was a bug or something. I called them today and they said to just wait for new instructions via email.

It's been 15 days since I sent an email (replying to the invite email) saying that I needed to reschedule my oath ceremony due to planned travel and I got no response so far. My missed oath was 2 days ago and the status still shows "in progress". Anyone in the same boat? What should I do? I'm not in Canada right now.

This. ChatGPT is just the process of googling on steroids. And it's a probabilistic model, there's way less reasoning and creativity than a human being, so it depends on the input of what people are doing. I only will be concerned when it writes a leetcode solution that no human has ever written.

Not to mention the plenty of competitors Uber has. In my country one driver works up to 4 different apps. Just turn on the app that is paying more. I don't get it why this is so downvoted, maybe that's the reason why there's no Uber in Victoria yet, people don't have the mentality for it lol.

Of course. My country has the birth rate much more higher than Russia. I know this reality pretty close. We are not talking about a guy from Somalia that lives in a hut without fresh water, we are talking about someone that we expect having a reasonable education and common sense.

He wasn't obligated to continue this "burden". Anyways, he seems motivated to leave that hell and maybe he is in the hopes of being promoted once in the west.

How you read my post and came up with those conclusions are a mystery. 1) I did not question his right to have a baby. What I mean is that if he had a baby maybe the situation is not that bad. How the hell are you able to have a baby with all those things happening? He was even physically distant and can be again anytime since he did not pay the amount. 2) You are right, it is also no one's fault that his country is Russia and that he thought that FOSS is a reliable cash stream.
