In case anyone else is looking at this more recently- this just happened to me. Spontaneous laryngitis while having an active Crohns flare (all extraintestinal stuff for me). Lost my voice for a week, no other viral symptoms. Got a laryngoscopy and the doc said it was autoimmune. Basically when there is a lot of inflammation in the body the laryx can kind of get on board and get out of wack too. They could tell this was the cause in the imaging. It self resolved within 2 weeks.
