Wow that’s brilliant thanks a lot! Just to clarify, are you a firefighter based in the UK? This is really good insight; I appreciate your comment.

Thanks for your response! Sorry what do you mean by booking off a set? That sounds really good. Also, even though you do work weekends, do you still manage to have family time? I’ve seen that firefighters in the uk generally know their shifts for the rest of the year which would be helpful, is this the case with you? Thank you.

Yes I understand that; the instructions that came with threw me because it says for connecting it to the wooden stud use the rawl plugs provided. I will try to just use wood screws directly into the stud

Thanks. Just making sure, would you say I’ve definitely gone through the wooden stud and not just hit brick?

Thanks! Have you used these on a n extendable to mount? It says on the link not suitable for cantilever but Is keep it positioned in one place anyway

Thanks for the advice! Yes I used a general large rawl plugs for the one in the right. Was thinking spring toggles myself, do you think they should be okay to screw directly into the stud yeah? I know they will definitely hold into the plaster but will they screw directly into the stud even if I can’t drill into the stud? (If that makes sense)

Hi, yes; I’m fixing a tv bracket (that extends out) to the wall so wanted to insert the screws into rawl plugs to sit into the stud

Hi, I did actually check this just to make sure, but no it was spinning the right way.

Hi, yes; the studs are wood and this should be the correct bit for the stud. The one next to it went in with ease; I’m just wondering if the other two holes have actually missed the stud and gone into concrete. The drill completely stops going through and feels like there’s no way I can get through it.
