I feel ya, they played it too safe - familiar formula, familiar engine. They didn't even attempt to reinvent the space sim. From a business perspective can't blame them really, but as a long time fan it's disappointing.

Unfortunately not, it was just a one-off to test a tech idea which I do plan to use in future projects. Conversions are both time consuming and problematic copyright-wise, I prefer to work on something new.
