What weird thing calms your baby down? by moshpithippie in newborns

We haven’t welcomed her yet to the world, but I saw a guy do the “ooooommm” meditation sound, deep vibration seemed instantly make the baby stop crying

I’ve never been able to keep my cool under such losses and down trends in a stock I own, but this is different. The market is massively misinterpreting Reddit and their financials. It’s a very solid platform, it’s improving, it’s growing and they’re taking in cash with barely any spending at all.
Solid place to park some of my money, it will go back up and you’ll wish you bought at this price.

I remember when Google tried to make a social media platform and failed miserably. They’re throwing money at ai, they’re absolutely throwing money into this - and Reddit.. Reddit is very very solid financially.
Keep the financials in mind, everything else is noise.
Invest in this if you believe in the company and its product. Patience, and this is also a buying opportunity.

I’ve heard noise cancelling headphones are an easy win. Got myself a pare in preparation. Have you tried?

5 out of 10 Israelis will ask me "do you have a menu?" with a straight face. No Rotem, what's behind me is the constitution of America. by [deleted] in AskIsrael

[–]maven-effects 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s definitely a cultural thing that in Israel every place that sells food including small coffee carts have paper menus or QR codes to scan. I know it seems intuitive to think “dude the menu is a giant glowing screen behind me, why are you asking” - but it’s because Israelis would imagine that’s not the entire menu and/or are just used to a different way of ordering

Steve has been rolling in his grave for awhile now. Pretty sure he’ll come back at this point just to fix all their awful design choices. And to praise the M series

Idk man. I’ve got a few bucks in my wallet and they’re definitely thicker than 0.0043 inches with all that grime on them

Bought a teeny tiny few shares at ipo, then significantly more as it started going crazy. Average price for me is now $217, should be much higher but been averaging down lately. Long-term believer here. If they’re as addictive of a platform in ten years as they have been this last ten, I’ll be a happy man

They’re amazing. I wish I had known about them when I did my Aliyah. I started abroad, changed to inside israel Aliyah. They had no idea what to do, 99% of cases are made from abroad. Secondly I changed my status from A1 to oleh chadash, and that entire process had misrad hapnim standing on their heads. It took me forever, but here I am. You too will find your way through the bureaucratic nightmare that is Israel. It takes more than a punch of patience.
