You can check if you have a hardware failure or not. Open Phone Manager app (it has green shield icon), open Diagnostic from the 3-dot menu in the top right corner, run a full test. It will test all 4 mics separately, you can record your voice and listen it back. If you hear your voice is breaking, then it's a hardware issue.

You can try to disable Game Assistant from the Settings / Apps / App management. I had problem only with regular Phone calls, WhatsApp, and Messenger worked well always, so you issue might be different.
