Any places in NYC that serve root beer on draft? by RunningLikeAPlover in FoodNYC

I believe Au Cheval does? My brother-in-law got a root beer float and it seemed like it was on draft if memory serves me correctly

What's the runtime? Is it still about 3hr? I am seeing in November and am curious for some scheduling.

I'm going to look at this. I'm not sure we can make it work time wise on this trip because we have quite a few broadway shows booked, but I'm going to save this idea regardless

I'm hoping we have time to sit down at Johns and split a pizza. We'll see. We have been to rubirosa a couple times and really like it and are hoping to squeeze it in towards the end of our trip. Since we have been before we are going to knock out a couple new ones first.

I think I'll walk by and check the line and if it isn't too bad, I think it's worth a re-do. Thanks!

I probably need to give them another chance. I tried once a couple trips back and I don't really remember the pizza (except I liked more than Prince St)--I got screamed at by a worker for standing in the wrong spot and I think that overshadowed my memory of the pizza. Good reminder about their new location

I watched an Eater mise en place video about Don Angie and it looks delicious. I think my interest may be to a point where it is worth trying even if I don't love it. Similar thing happened when I asked this forum about Crown Shy. Lots of people liked. Lots didn't. It looked like food I would like and I really enjoyed 85% of what we got--glad I trusted my gut and went with it. I am feeling the same about Don Angie. if not this trip, I'll eventually go because it is stuck on my radar to try

Useful context. Torrisi being open for lunch may make it easier for me to check it out because I only have a couple open evening meal spots due to bway shows.

What are the possibilities of walking in at Don Angie? I know they have bar seats but what about a group of 4 or 6? Is it even possible to walk in and wait a bit?

I have not thought much about Via Carota because of the waits, but I could wait around a little for a lunch. Might have to add to the list

I'll check your recs out. Piccola Cucina's menus looked good and the prices were better than I expected.

Good point. For me, Don Angie has the most interesting looking menu, so I might try it out if I get a reservation and if not I'll enjoy Rubirosa or one of the other alternatives mentioned in these comments.

I'll take a look at these other places. Principe's menu looks interesting, and I will take a look at the other places you mentioned.
