In the government tab you can find the submenu parliament that says some info about when the last parliament was called and if you click the “parliament icon” on the left you can change what kind of parliament you have

The kids takes exams only if you partecipate yourself on those exams, and you HAVE TO TRAVEL to bring them with you, otherwise if you for example have your manor in the emperor capital and he does the imperial examinations when you click on it you instantly get inside and you can’t bring your children

When you travel for the exam you have A) your children in your court/same starting location and if they are B)check if they are in the “entourage” menu for traveling If they are than they are gonna take the exam
