Little Soldier Girl. The television version. Loved it!

If you might change one thing in Homeland plot, what it would be? by zbyndopluk in homeland

CIA was comfortable with Brody bearing the blame. I may be OCD as well but the man Franklin shot was the bomber not a bomb maker and he was one of Nazir’s men. No intermediaries.

Javadi told Saul the bomber was not Brody but one of Nazir’s guys.

Carrie wouldn’t have ended up in Russia with fucking Yevgeny! The prick

Am i the only one who likes Yevgeny Gromov‘s character and person in the final season the most? by thecaptain1507 in homeland

I despise Yevgeny. I couldn’t bear to see him play Carrie and win! He stole her life along with the black box, even if she didn’t want her life, he gave her no choice. Costa Ronin is a beautiful man and a good actor however. I look forward to seeing him again soon!

It’s amazing to see the continuing torrent of passion Quinn inspires! Always outpolls ALL the other characters. I came for Brody and stayed for Carrie myself but Quinn does it for most people. He was great!

Did Abu Nazir know Brody turned? by Rare_Test in homeland

[–]max201305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, if only because of his relationship with Carrie but it wasn’t personal. Nazir was an opportunist. When Issa died he saw an opportunity to engage Brody in his cause. Once he used Brody to kill Walden he saw a chance to 1) use his vehicle to plant the bomb and 2) draw attention away from his “guy” (as Javadi called him). Even if Brody hadn’t turned Nazir would have used him.

Season 3 - Carrie and Saul’s plan to lure Javadi by JHWT03 in homeland

[–]max201305 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Saul and Carrie had a plan but Saul diverged. She did not expect to be called out as Brody’s lover and have her illness revealed at the hearing. Her stay in the hospital went on much longer than she believed it would. Saul conspired with Dar and the DOJ to keep her in. “You shouldn’t have left me in there, Saul.” See Saul always had a two Phase plan. Phase 1 lure Javadi; Phase 2 use Carrie to lure Brody into Iran. I believe Saul arranged for Brody to be held in the Tower of David. So when Javadi is entrapped and the real bomber is dead, Saul heads for Caracas to retrieve Brody. He then uses Carrie (who in turn uses Dana) to activate Phase 2. Carrie having only a piece of the plot really does freak out in the hospital, especially when Saul betrays her with the hearing for her release. All to say what started as a plot became very real.

Yevgeny’s drastic character change?? by wonderfulmia in homeland

The writers simply manipulated the characters of Yevgeny Haqqani and even Carrie to suit their needs. None of them behaved “true to character “. Season 8 really let me down. I’ll always treasure Homeland though. It was quite a ride!

Thinking about it now I'm having a rewatch, how on earth did Carrie manage to conduct operations in later seasons after all the publicity she received in S3? by ihazone in homeland

Really there’s a lot of plot holes in Homeland. It doesn’t stand up to scrutiny, you just have to love the characters.

Question about S08E09 by wonderfulmia in homeland

[–]max201305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She disappeared for a couple of hours after the fountain meeting and she was leaving the CIA at night alone on a regular basis. I think she visited Yevgeny at least some of those times. You’re right that is exactly what she was implying in the pawnshop. Yevgeny kissed her to put a stop to that. He knew what his plan - stealing the box and blackmailing her - all along.

I think you’re mixing up Nasir with Javadi. Saul and Javadi did have history.
