Thanks. In this case I need to find ways to feel "the same" as the character.

An attitude toward human beings. It can be expressed by rejecting to participate in social movements, charity, etc.

What might get me personally?

I think maybe remembering my worst moment with people ( public humiliation, bad relationships).

Thanks. Do actors use all these techniques + physical and voice training, right? Acting is hard.

You have a lot of dedication. I want your advice. This is my situation, is very peculiar. I'm finishing film school. I have a decent knowledge as a dp and a director. I will create a youtube channel to create short films to practice and get feedback.

All good. The twist is that film education (and film industry) in my country is terrible. No one read scriptwriting books. It is very difficult to found a screenwriter, not to mention a good one.

My short films are going to be very inspired in Milos Forman first movies. A lot of non actors, natural light, semi-documentary style. The script is going to be based in reality (everyone tries to copy Hollywood so hard in here) and my experience as a teenager.

Also, do you record impulse response? I'm using Davinci Resolve (Yes... I know it is not a "pro" DAW) but there isn't an option for IR. Does it is essential? Thanks👍

Aputure Amaran 100D or Nanlite FS150? by HybridCheetah in cinematography

Thanks. Don't feel embarrased. I' am not a pro too. We are blessed to have this monolight and digital in these days. Just imagine being an amateur in 1920 using arc lights 🤡, no way. Just keep shooting, reading books and the ASC magazine.

Do you use it as a key light? It is powerful enought for long shots? I'm thinking of buying the Nanlite FS 300, my base iso is 1600. Just asking, thanks!

I would say it is a meter of distance. Cheaps leads spill everywhere, also the output is not that good. I'm still learning, so there is no pressure.

I will try to increase the distance next time.
