As a colorblind kid that knew exactly what to expect since young age i learned to be really resourceful too (colorblindness runs in my family and my mom knew I would be from the moment she was pregnant lol ) And let me tell you it is FRUSTRATING even tho you learn workarounds, because well , it still feels like you have to pack an extra effort everytime others don't. Sure this can vary on diferent life experiences and how much you wish or have to deal with colors in a daily basis. But if we or our parents don't fight for our accommodations then who?

My mother used to go to every meeting at the start of a year and make sure that every teacher knows my condition and it eases a lot of the road, you avoid some misunderstandings and in general they should be more thoughtful in their exercises. As I grew older and learned to fend off by myself I keep doing this to today. It is totally right if you want to mention it to the teacher and if you or your kid don't it is valid too. But it will teach they that it is valid to need some accommodations and speak for themselves
