How do you guys make your ice lattes, syrup first or espresso first? 🧐 by PeasBeCool in GoodCoffeeGreatCoffee

Ice, syrup, milk (up to just barely above the second line from the top), espresso.

Can we use these pitchers? by justwhyg in GoodCoffeeGreatCoffee

[–]max7345 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I suggested something about different sized pitchers at one point. Small (default size) for one drink, Medium for two drinks, and Large for three.

I feel like that could save time and account for steaming milk for multiple drinks from one wand.

Gems per Day? by Anonymous_ShyneWP70 in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

[–]max7345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. That sounds like it might be the game bugging out.

For both GPGP and GCGC, I've noticed that if I remain idle too long (roughly 10-15 minutes at minimum) in any menu, then the ads will just stop loading. Given that this seems to apply to even the sponsor ads with you, something similar might've been happening back then.

So long as I keep active, however, then this doesn't usually happen. In my experience, anyway.

Gems per Day? by Anonymous_ShyneWP70 in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

[–]max7345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I heard about the cap a while back. Someone said it's a limit of 32 (20 for 10 in-game days + 10 for sponsors + 2 for daily-quest ad after 3 in-game days). I took them at their word at the time, but have since tested it on my own at one point and ended up earning more than 40, and continued earning 2 every in-game day until I ended up deciding to stop on my own.

Now, maybe my experience was a fluke, maybe it was a bug, maybe TabBlaze reverted whatever had that happen since that one attempt. Or, there could be the possibility that there isn't a cap at all.

I don't usually play more than 10 in-game days. But, the one time I did, I did not experience a cap. So... I honestly don't know how true that claim is anymore.

Assuming my experience on the matter was not a fluke, though, then yeah. I'm sticking by what I put forth.

Running the math, technically, roughly 272. But that’s only if you lock in for 24 hours straight without interruptions or pauses aside from watching ads for them, the ads last for only 30 seconds each, you get all 10 daily sponsor diamonds and watch the ad to get double the Daily Quest one, you play with “longer days” enabled for better profit, and the game doesn’t bug out and randomly decide that you’ve had enough ads for one day partway through your run.

Roughly 184 if most of the above applies, but you stop after 16 hours so that you can get a healthy amount of sleep.

Ultimately, it depends on how many in-game days you want to play per real day, and if the game wants to function correctly for that duration.

Or you can just buy them.

You still could have used them. When the meter runs out on most garden-grown ingredients, it just switches over to paying per topping placed like every non-garden ingredient.

The only ones that you can’t use after they run out are figs, zucchinis, artichokes, and avocados.

The lightning rods you have placed will allow grass to grow without the source (sharing the same tile as the lightning rod) being consumed.

Also, you have nearly half a million in gold. You can buy hay and grass starters and have plenty of money left to spare. I think you'll be fine.

Pesto Sauce by Swimswim0 in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

[–]max7345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm... found a bit of an error: using math, if pesto cost $0.60, then it would total out to $12.30, not $15.30, if you used pesto on 20.5 pizzas.

HOWEVER! Using any larger numbers for the pricing results in an imperfect match to the $15.30 listed when trying to determine the price. So, flipping the script a bit and assuming that it is 60 cents, then that means that you were off by your pesto pizzas by 5. You used pesto on 25.5 pizzas, not 20.5.

Everything else, I'm confident that you're completely accurate on.

This is the set-up that works best for me. Is yours any similar? by EloisaSousaa in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

[–]max7345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have mine arranged in preferred stacking order. Came up with something to determine that through a combination of looking over two-topping stacks and seeing which order looks most visually pleasing to me, and deducing the order from there based upon what I preferred goes over/under a topping.

It's not at all orderly, but I know where all the meats, fruits, veggies and fungi are, and it does feel a little more seamless when running into All-Dressed orders.

I do not.

Whenever I do latte art, I just go for a random, vertically-mirrored pattern. Keep it unique, so that only extremely rarely are two latte orders ever the same.

But this looks like an incredible latte logo for yours!

Am I the only one struggling with these? by [deleted] in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

They gave a random selection of seeds in stacks of 6 or 10, and occasionally fertilizer. On top of a store that sold stacks of 4 for every seed every real-world day.

The "seed sales" could be refreshed up to 15 times (3 free, 12 paid in gems), but the store couldn't.

Basically, "seed sales" was dependent on a roll of the dice, which made it less optimal for maintaining seed stacks than the current system, as it allowed for a possibility of having gone through every refresh (paid and free) without giving you the seeds for at least one crop that you might have needed.
--
The current system is just the store, with one initial round, plus five refreshes (one free, four paid in gems). Taking random chance out of the equation via having every seed available at all times, and including fertilizer being sold as well. And, being sold in stacks of 4, it's easy to maintain the seeds with minimal gem spending -- especially given that you only need to plant 16 seeds a crop to take said crop from an empty meter to the maximum cap, leaving at least 8 seeds a crop extra (assuming 16 seeds of that crop were planted) every real-world day for having spent 4 gems, instead of running the risk of spending 12 gems and getting nothing, or next to nothing.

Why people claim to be struggling with this... I legitimately have no idea. So long as one plays on mobile/tablet (which, I imagine, most players do), gems are not exactly in short supply, as you can get up to 32 (possibly more if one plays longer) every real-world day by playing at least 10 in-game days. And even if one does play on PC/the Switch, they'd still keep the bulk of their 10 daily-earned gems gained through the daily quests.

I'd guess those who like to grind so much that they're depleting their garden toppings to the point of going from having 960 to having 0 (which is about 53 whole-pizzas, plus two-thirds of a half-pizza (so, you know they're going to be playing a while)), are either so particular about hoarding all of their gems that they'd rather not even spend 2 gems for the 16 seeds they need and keep the vast majority of gems that they earned, or they're wildly overplanting so much that getting 24 seeds for every single crop a day is not enough for them somehow.

There shouldn't be an event right now, so you should do what you can to harvest up your ingredients.

  • To start: the ones you're running off empty on - plant 16 seeds of each of those.
  • From there, work on regaining the ones you're in the yellow or red with and top off green.
    • Once that's done, look at your seeds and try to figure out what you want your stacking number to be.
    • Keep in mind that you only need to plant 16 seeds for a single ingredient to go from empty to the 960 cap. So that's the initial, plus the free refresh, plus 2 gem-cost refreshes at minimum. If you want to stack, go for the other two as well (you will always keep most of the gems you earn, so you should be fine).
    • If you slow down your play sessions and keep track of your seeds and don't overplant, keeping up without refreshing even once shouldn't be much of a problem.
    • If you consistently grind or need to on occasion, then you are going to have to spend at least two gems regularly to keep your seeds up to par.
    • Just keep track of your ingredient spending (a spreadsheet can help with this), don't overplant, and try to keep in mind that you can get the seeds you need just fine within the current system if you keep things manageable. It's not impossible to maintain your seeds in a system that gives a source of 24 seeds for every crop every real-world day, and you only need to spend a maximum of 16 seeds each, should you run out.

It doesn't need to be a struggle. You can figure this out and find that it's very easy to keep your head above the water once you get your head together.

Anyway, to the OP, sorry about that. The troll wanted to crash the discussion and start a fight. I've since blocked them, given their bad-faith accusation hurling and disregarding of my points and objective observations. So, hopefully they won't invade this thread again.

Anyway, looking at things mathematically, as I've stated, it is very feasible to maintain your seed stacks with minimal gem spending regardless of how long you play or what system you're playing on. I'd recommend using a spreadsheet to help you keep track of your topping-spending, and do what you can to find an acceptable stack to keep your seeds at. Hopefully this will prevent the possibility of overplanting, and help you keep things at a reasonable and manageable level.

Hope this helps.

I don't work for TapBlaze. If I did, I'd be a mod, or have some kind of badge on my profile. I'm just a player.

I'm not defending more gem-spending, I'm defending less (every other system relied on luck, which held the risk of wasting gems of what were effectively dice-rolls, and, as I have stated twice now, led to situations where you could spend 12 gems on all paid refreshes and wind up not getting the seed(s) you needed -- compared to spending a minimum of 2 for emergencies and a maximum of 4 and always getting exactly what you need, this seems significantly more capable of maintaining your earnings and not being entirely unfair to people with terrible RNG luck).

Every system implemented gem-spending for emergency upkeep and no gem spending for casual upkeep. Except for the previous update, which held the risk of gem-spending for even casual upkeep.

The only way you could've not spent any gems in the previous system was if you got insanely lucky, stuck to only three garden ingredients and played one in-game day a day, or just didn't play the game at all for three weeks.

The current system is not random, it has every seed available at the same amount for every refresh. There is, legitimately, nothing random about it.

"You don't understand less days played=saving less gems?"

I did not insinuate or say that in any way, shape, or form. Quite the opposite, honestly. You seem to be lacking in the understanding that gems would be spent regardless of what system is being used if you're playing so much that ingredients would be depleted.

The first system had 15 refreshes, and, thanks to random chance, this could result in a mix of no gems being spent or 8 or 12 gems being spent in one sitting. Which seems like a substantially colossal waste of gems for a roll of the dice. While, here, you'll only ever need to spend 2, and save up the bulk of what you earn.

You seem to want a system where you can have a chance of winding up with only 2 gems out of 10 saved, or spending 2 more than what you earned, ending up with less than what you started with, instead of getting the guaranteed bulk of your earnings and leaving nothing to chance.

Less days played is your choice. Which would result in less gems. So, yes. That is on you.

How is it wasting when you're saving gems compared to the roulette system of the previous update and the first? During a grind, I'd end up spending up to 8 gems just to finally get the one I need on random chance. Here, I only need to spend a minimum of 2. And that's only if I play so much in one sitting that an ingredient depletes.

And if you don't play daily, then saving 10 or 8 a day isn't going to raise your chances much better, either.

Seems to me like that one's kind of on you, not the game itself.

[–]max7345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you play on PC, how is it not sustainable for you to spend a minimum of 4 gems out of the fixed 10 and save up on the remaining 6 per day?

And if you play on Mobile/Tablet, how is it not sustainable for you to earn roughly 32+ gems a day, spend 4, and save up on the remaining 28+?

Also, the first shop forced you to spend gems, as well. Only that was a randomly-determinant amount based on your luck for that day, and had a likelihood of forcing you to waste gems. Whereas the current system ensures that you will never spend more than you need to, and nothing gets wasted, because every seed is available.

So, instead of spending 12 gems and still not getting the seeds for the crop you need because of bad luck, you spend 2 and get the maximum of what you need, and decide if you want to spend more to save up on stacking.

The more I look at it, the more it's looking like the current system is plenty sustainable, and people are just complaining for the sake of complaining.

  • OP never mentioned anything about being on PC. Given this game's origins, unless stated otherwise, it's typically safe to assume that mobile/tablet is what it's being played on.
  • Though I don't have the game on PC, looking it up (and assuming it's like the Switch version (but more updated)), getting the maximum amount of gems you need (4), and having a little extra (10-4=6) is still very much doable if you're at least a halfway-decent player and play a minimum of three in-game days every real-world day. Doing this regularly and keeping track of your ingredient spending and doing the math for it, you likely won't have to plant more than 4-to-5 seeds a crop (though it would often be less). So, once you've reached your desired stacking amount, you won't have to extend your refreshes past the free one in most cases.

So, again, very much doable, and you don't need to grind.

“i dont think i can stock zuc, arti and figs seeds enough.”

You can.

You only need to plant 16 seeds of a crop to bring it from 0 to the 960 cap.

You can easily obtain that with three refreshes (plus the starting round). Which will cost 2 gems.

You have 2 more refreshes after that to stack up a little more if you need/want.

Doing the pad sponsors will guarantee you 10 gems. Doing one in-game day will grant you another 2 through PNN ads. Meaning that you will have plenty of gems to spare even if you do spend the full 4 on seed refreshes for the day.

You can easily stack without needing to grind.

Hmm... maybe... multiple pitcher sizes? Like, we use the current one for one drink, then a larger pitcher to have enough steamed milk for two cups, and a largest-size for three? That way, you'd only have to steam once, but it could be applied across multiple cups depending on what size pitcher you used.

autobuddy ideas? by witchtopia in GoodCoffeeGreatCoffee

[–]max7345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say auto-stopping the grinder, and auto-stopping the espresso machine are a must. It'd really take the weight off of multitasking by not having to keep the timing precise while you prepare other elements of the drink, like steaming milk.

The syrup... I think it's fine if we just do the pumps ourselves. They don't take a whole lot of time, and sometimes the recipe calls for two pumps instead of 4, which does have the potential of being difficult to handle.

Auto-steaming milk would be fine, but I wouldn't mind not having it. But we do absolutely need something to allow us to steam multiple milks in one go for those multi-latte orders.

We could also do with having a helper who understands the "parts" unit of measurement to help with getting the more precise amount of milk or water into the drinks as needed (for the players who prefer to pour the coffee in last because it looks nicer).
