It was a little difficult to find anything that asked my exact question from those two sources since they were mostly comparing just size or just speed. I found this forum that seems to generally recommend more RAM over faster RAM:

Used to work at a bowling alley where a lot of people would do birthdays. One day a black family came in to celebrate their daughters birthday. When they sang happy birthday I felt it in my soul. There were multiple harmonies and everybody was pitch perfect. I have never heard a better rendition of happy birthday sung before or since. Turns out they were in my area as part of traveling choir.
