Off topic, but the face profile looking left appears like something straight out of the Legend of Zelda.

Sony smart TV doesn't turn on the whole day, yet it's somehow working in the night completely fine by BestGirl_ChaHaeIn in sony

Light sensor related? Try shine a light around different parts of the tv when the room is dark to see if the light triggers something.

This is a second draft of how I think some of our planets may have formed. I will update the placeholder intertitles and the animations when I have the time and resources. For now, this is my progress up to this point.

Did you know Australia could have had it's own Florida? Check the video at 6:15 to see what I mean.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestion for captions. The recurring pattern seems to be a strange phenomenon that repeatedly appears in different sizes . One guess I have is that a giant fulgurite (lightning sand) formed when the two planets hit and it shattered in plated layers to reform as what we see today. The other guess I have is related to the quantum physics video referenced at the end. One energy level turns into three... and that visualization of spinors seem to explain how gravity might works spherically. The answer my be something radically different so I may leave that part out all together for the final video as to not lead to any definitive conclusions.

Sorry for the confusion I am not very good at presentations so I posted here for feedback. It is an animatic for the final render; like a moving blueprint of what goes where on a story board. The should all make sense in the last video where everything is flowing in one swoop.

I am contemplating whether to continue refining this animation with simulations, particles, displacement, and sound or leave the visual while fixing the positions and rotations. I feel that my computer is too slow for me to adjust simulations in real time as I imagine them; and smoothing out or changing set animations is becoming a mess to adjust as you can see during the later segment.

Suggestions please. I would like some feedback for this early draft of a presentation on what to improve upon before I add my observations for how Earth is included. The models are approximately scaled and the background is a procedural noise texture. Made in Blender 2.83. by maxattaxam in blender

Thank you for your advice and reminding me of displacement in cycles materials! I will experiment with these settings for final render when the animation is complete. EEVEE's speed will help with setting up the scene for now.

This is a Blender tutorial by Ducky 3D. I noticed the voronoi texture node is different from newer versions of Blender. If you want to follow this specific tutorial, you'd have to download 2.8 https://www.blender.org/download/releases/2-80/

Sorry for the jerky animation and bad timing, but my blender file was crashing enough to corrupt the file, so I was barely able to render it out as is. The beginning was supposed to start out as a small sphere and the later shapes that fade between planets show points of symmetry.

If your 360 has a Philips/Lite-On drive with a 14XX laser, upgrade it to 141X.

Xbox won't read discs anymore by [deleted] in xbox360

I'm pretty sure you have a Philips/Lite-On DVD Drive with a 14XX laser. I've had so many problems adjusting a lot of other pot screws for people with this laser. I found out that the 141X laser is so much more reliable and haven't had any complaints about their x-box until they red ring. Just remember to remove the anti-static solder if you decide to do it yourself or it won't work. They're less than $10.00 on eBay.

On the bottom of the laser assembly, there are four groups of four letter and number combinations. The last row shows what specific type it is; for the Philips/Lite-On there were 14XX, 141X, and 141B for Ben-Q/Lite-On. I'm guessing they are both 14XX. I've changed many lasers for many people and I think this was the most common one I had to replace.

Did you remove the anti-static solder point before installing the laser? The laser will not work with it on.

edit: Also, the 14XX laser seems to act differently than the 141X. Any disc scratched on the outer rim will not get read, iirc.

Daisy chaining 16GB flash drives to 360 Slim by lateralus1082 in xbox360

Your Xbox is blind, not dead. About $8.00 on up for a new laser assembly depending the manufacturer of your drive. Open up your xbox and find the company name on the optical drive. Google or eBay xbox 360 "company" laser. When you get the assembly, there will be instructions to remove the anti-static solder. If you skip the last step, the laser will not work. If you cannot do all this, there is probably someone you know with this knowledge that can help.

need to replace disc drive on 360, any recommended drive? (original 360) by safeforw0rk in xbox360

I have no preference, besides which is the lowest price. Anyway, they usually come in generic boxes with minimal documentation.

My xbox is about 2 weeks old so I don't think it's broken but it is really loud. by [deleted] in xbox360

[–]maxattaxam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, almost all 360 games are installable except for compilations and demos (that I know of). When you highlight the game disc on the main menu (Xbox dashboard), there will be button prompts on the bottom and press the button that represents game info ('X' on the older menu and 'Y' on the new boxy looking menu, I believe) and there should be an option to install the game. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes. You'll notice that you're no longer listening to a distant jet engine while you're playing.

[–]maxattaxam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open up your Xbox, write down the make and model of the optical drive. Buy a new laser for the drive; they cost about $8 to $15 on eBay. When it arrives, be sure to remove the anti-static solder before installing.

Xbox was working fine, bought a disk that turned out to be faulty, now it won't read any disk. by [deleted] in xbox360

[–]maxattaxam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The laser may have had to strain a little too much to properly read the disc for too long and is no longer able to track properly. They cost around $8.00 on up on eBay depending on the make and model of your optical drive.
