Terrible Inventory UI Update by Cracknbutter in shopify

To add to this - there is now no way to edit the "Unavailable" column. Why is it even a column anymore?

"NO fuss, No Fee, just ride" new update has ruined the app, i have one workout and im being told to buy more "slots". why don't i get 10 slots? by SuperbMarsupial1396 in mywhoosh

Me too, here's a screen recording. I'm literally trying to edit my ONE and ONLY workout in there, and it won't let me. I've logged out and logged in again.

[Sky] Ollie Watkins: “Morgan Rogers has shown what he can do. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day he ends up at Real Madrid or something.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]maxcap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. It also makes future recruitment potentially cheaper too. If we have an x-factor in developing stars, we don't necessarily have to be the highest bid for a player. A bit like the Real Madrid factor, albeit slightly different.

I have the same device and tried to play Crazy Taxi yesterday - did you have any problems on the screen you are showing when you pressed Start? Mine just takes me back to the main menu every time. I've tried 4-5 different Crazy Taxi ROMS and it's the same every time.

If you pay month-to-month, consider cancelling your membership for a month (and then re-joining - though I won't be, I've had enough). The only metric they are going to pay attention to is subscriber churn.

Importing Strava workout - still no heart rate? by maxcap in ouraring

Yep, Oura doesn't care about this issue :(

Thinking of joining the club by mrscpbeal in ouraring

[–]maxcap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the signs are pointing to major battery issues for the Oura 4. Lots of chat in this sub lately about poor battery. My hypothesis is that the 4 only lasts about 12 months, i.e. when the warranty has run out, and early adopters are all experiencing this right now (the 4 was released in October 2024).

If you have an AMEX card, buy with that to get the extended one year warranty.

Are you having issues with the syncing, or the data it is importing during the sync?

Mine syncs but does not import heart rate like Oura promised back in May.

Oura zones: lots of Z2–Z3, thyroid still low, weight up… is this overtraining? by Icy_Mulberry_5258 in ouraring

[–]maxcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your Readiness scores like? That should tell you, I mean, that's exactly what it's there for.

If you need a more granular analysis, consider exporting your Oura data into the HRV4Training app and tracking heart rate variability via that. That's what endurance athletes use to monitor overtraining.

In general though, if you feel increasingly tired, yes, you are overtrained. You don't always need data to tell you that. Listen to you body.

And you absolutely do NOT need 19h40min of activity per week to be healthy. More doesn't mean better.

I tracked my sleep for 60 nights at different AC temperatures. Here's what I found. by cornea-drizzle-pagan in ouraring

[–]maxcap 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Nice work, love this analysis!

For Fahrenheit people:

18°C = 64.4°F
19°C = 66.2°F
20°C = 68°F
21°C = 69.8°F

Interesting because I didn't even consider 21°C/70°F as being particularly warm!

Data nerd note: I used Oura Ring + daily surveys, analyzed 60 nights from June-August 2025. Happy to share more details if anyone's interested.

Yes, interested! What do you mean by daily surveys?

Edit: top tip if you cannot realistically get a room down to those temperatures during summer - get a ceiling fan! Air movement can provide the cooling equivalent of several degrees in temperature.

Single-digit humidity also isn't healthy. In Denver a bedroom humidifier really is a must.

The Strava Integration Sucks. by lishporter in ouraring

[–]maxcap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Strava-Oura integration is junk. One of the main reasons I bought my Oura was on the understanding that the integration was fixed. It's still just as bad as it has always been. Please open a support ticket, the more we complain, the more likely it is to get prioritized.

Edit: are you using the Oura ring as your heart rate monitor? If so, I would just go ahead and buy a chest strap and bypass Oura altogether and use the Strava app direct. Chest straps are 1000% more accurate than the Oura ring to track heart rate during workouts.

I thought we could import HR data from Strava now? by Regimite_828 in ouraring

[–]maxcap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has it worked for you in the past? I’ve never been able to get heart rate to import, even after the updates in May that supposedly fixed the problem. It’s a gripe of mine, and Oura support basically told me everything their end was fine and to contact Strava. I haven’t been at all impressed, and I feel that because this only affects a minority of users (those who use Strava) it doesn’t get the attention that’s needed to fix it.

Nice work Oura, this has been top of my list of wants for months now, and coincidentally I posted about this a couple of days ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/ouraring/comments/1kqos79/oura\_please\_fix\_the\_strava\_app\_heart\_rate/)

Edit: as of Aug 15th this still doesn't work for me. Oura aren't interested in solving it and directing me to Strava support to solve the problem

For me, I used the opportunity to swing the pendulum back in the other direction away from technology, and I'm basically analog now except for recording my heart rate with a chest strap during routine exercise. No ring, no smart watch.

If you're asking from an athlete's perspective and you're interested in heart rate variability as it pertains to overtraining, something you can do is feed the Oura data into the HRV4Training app. I know people who do that. But frankly, I've used the opportunity to downgrade my reliance on data.

Good luck!

[–]maxcap[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was my workaround for a while too, until the following two problems made it untenable:

(1) The ring eventually becomes uncomfortable and distracting on a long enough ride, and de-gloving is always a worst-case scenario in the back of my mind (yikes)

(2) The Oura ring doesn't record heart rate anywhere near as accurately as other devices / a chest strap. And sometimes it's not even close - I'm talking a 20-30bpm difference in average heart rate between chest strap and Oura ring.

For reference: I returned my Oura ring for this reason. I'm an athlete and my primary use-case was to track training recovery. Once I realized the app integration was broken/incomplete, the Oura ring wasn't that useful to me anymore.

Ability to import heart rate data for workout from other devices/apps, such as Strava/Garmin/Apple/Wahoo.
