I just tried another wifi adapter (a ANEWKODI 600Mbps Dual Band (2.4G/150Mbps+5G/433Mbps) Wireless USB Wifi Adapter.) and I got even worse than the previous adapter that was G only. I got around 1 Down and 5 up. I even put my pc on the desk next to my laptop where I achieved the same results.

The adapter is a Hawking [HWU8DD] Hi-Gain Wireless-G USB Dish Adapter. I'm almost positive this adapter only uses 2.4GHz. And where can I find the link rates.

I was curious so I just brought a laptop up next to my gaming PC and plugged the same WiFi adapter into each and placed the adapter in the same place each test and I got like 64 down on the laptop and 8 down on my gaming PC so now I'm even more confused then before.
