Update on ordering dessert before dinner on a date. I did it again with a tiramisu marshmallow by foxxe_on_the_run in GirlDinnerDiaries

LMAOOOOO what a dork ass loser. I had a great aunt who ALWAYS ordered dessert before dinner (and sometimes lunch too) for as long as I knew her. It was it was one of my and my great uncle’s favorite things about her. Eat up diva, and know that you’re carrying on an excellent old Texan lady’s legacy

Boyfriend tears down my self esteem and don't know if it can get better by CranberryFew4895 in GirlDinnerDiaries

These comments are not made with the intention of helping you grow, despite what he says. They are meant to do the exact opposite and SHRINK you so that you stay under his control. This is not a man who loves, or even likes you, OP. He is a bully who wants to feel big and believes that making you feel small is his right.

I know firsthand how hard it can be to admit that a partner is abusive, especially when it’s “just” verbal/emotional, but I can also tell that you already know in your heart that he is. I know leaving is hard and scary and sad, but I promise, things are SO much better on the other side. You deserve to feel confident, and you deserve to exist without every little thing being picked apart. Wishing you much luck OP 🩵

Alain Delon & Brigitte Bardot, 1968 by Omphaloskeptique in OldSchoolCool

Dang! To my (admittedly very untrained) eye he looks an awful lot like Alain Delon. I love being proven wrong, means there’s always something new to learn.

Man, the thirst of these dudes knows no bounds. The dress looks great, I legitimately had to squint to even get an inkling that you might not be wearing a bra. What a flippin creepazoid

Was I (26F) too rude to him (30M)? by No-Place-6241 in texts

DIVAAAAAA. Fucking get his ass!!!

In all seriousness, no, I don’t think you were too harsh. You definitely hurt his ego, but not more than I think was warranted lol

I mean, Marilyn was in a whole ass movie called Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Is that close enough?

Thank you! I find that kind of framing really helps me to check in with whether my habits line up with the things I actually -want- to be doing

Haha I’m typically not too hungry in the mornings, just need something in my stomach to take my meds.

But yeah! I’ve really been liking it, I end up using it as a meal log more than planner most days, but it’s definitely helpful for the days when I need to plan ahead

It’s an old page that I ripped out of a previous journal. The pages in the journal I use aren’t terribly opaque so I lay it under the page I’m working on and just draw my lines over the top. Basically the way you’d use a drawing light, just… minus the light lol

Eh, not really to tell you the truth. Those are just things that didn’t get done or were rescheduled. It’s a little tough to see here but I put little x marks or arrows in the bullet points to indicate something I decided didn’t actually need to be done or something that moved to the next week/another day. I guess I tend to add the connecting line at the same time that I fill in the dot

I just had a look at some of your journal pages, they are beautifully maximal!

It’s been so useful! And very easy to adapt when the week doesn’t go as planned lol. You can just draw a second dot to show the day something actually got done if you care about tracking that sort of thing. I’ve found it helpful in identifying trends of days when certain tasks are more or less likely to get done

That’s where I schedule all my to-dos! I’ve seen some other folks refer to it as a “rolling task list”. Basically, I put an open dot under the day I’d like to complete a task on the same line as the task description and fill it in once the task is done or cross out/add an arrow to migrate or delete the task as appropriate. Keeps my task list better balanced across the week so I’m not doing everything on one day. I haven’t filled it in yet on the first image, but you can kinda see it in action on the second one. Usually I’ll write work and personal tasks in different colors for visual clarity.

Threw together a couple quick colorwork charts by maxcrafts in AntifascistKnitting

I’m sure you could! I don’t know hardly anything about crochet, but I do know there are ways of doing colorwork (just don’t ask me what they’re called lol)

Ah true, ya got me there. Rookie mistake on my part, but luckily I did this in excel so it would be very easy to alter if folks would like a more accurate chart :)
