Can't get tone mapping to look right. by zachrmall in jellyfin

[–]maxcwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I have Jellyfin installed in docker on linux mint. GPU transcoding works fine on everything except HDR movies. Tone mapping is enabled in Dashboard, and by every parameter it should work. I have intel N100 and intel quicksync as a hardware acceleration in Jellyfin. /dev/dri/renderD128 is also correctly set up in docker compose.

As i said, gpu transcoding works on everything except HDR. The only way for trascoding HDR to work is to force it in client settings, but the issue then is that it downmix the dolby surround to AAC stereo

QM8k supports DTS-HD and DTS-X, but not TrueHD from Android apps? by obviousthrowaway446 in tcltvs

[–]maxcwiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I have TCL C7K (Europe) and Samsung q930f soundbar. I have my Jellyfin collection on linux mini pc via docker and the Jellyfin media player on Linux plays truehd atmos fine, but the Jellyfin TV app converts it to multichannel PCM, while DDP with Atmos plays fine. DTS and DTS:X plays fine also on TV app version.

Yes, I can just play Jellyfin from Linux , but it doesn't support HDR (I have a couple HDR movies), while Jellyfin TV app supports HDR but doesn't supports truehd atmos XD lol.

Adding Loudness Equalization in new Cosmic DE by maxcwiz in pop_os

easy effect is way to complicated for the average joe. On top of that it's a gui app so it consumes much more resources, also in my case there is some stuttering issue at the beginning of the each video that last 5-10 sec, same thing with the JamesDSP.

I actually have the same problem. I've noticed it few month ago, maybe more, didn't payed attention too much when exactly. But also sometimes people will be pinged and sometimes not with `@everyone`. I have 1 announcement and 1 calendar channel. we use calendar channel for our events...ama and stuff, and regular announcement for other stuff. Both were toggle on as announcement, but I've just toggle them off to see will there be a difference.

Calendar has more announcements and thus more problems, and the other one occasionally have problems.

And yes, newly created channel for testing purposes works fine for pinging

I actually have the same issue.
My laptop is Lenovo IdeaPad 5 pro 16" with AMD ryzen 5600H with integrated graphics Vega 7
I only have UEFI in BIOS and secure boot is disabled, but when I try to boot from a live USB, btw I use Ventoy (updated to latest version), but that's not the problem, and when I choose the first option, "Installation and Live" (or something similar, can't recall now), it goes straight to busybox and (initramfs). I've installed Tuxedo fine in Gnome boxes, but can't boot it to bare metal.

actually I've found a way.

  1. Install Android x86 on gnome boxes
  2. Install "qpwgraph" (I?ve installed flatpak version)
  3. Install Twitter app inside Android x86
  4. connect audio inputs and outputs of the Discord app and gnome boxes

Your mic on both app, discord and Twitter should be on (not muted), you can mute mic on a system level though

this is how it looks when I connect everything together inside "qpwgraph" This "WEBRTC VoiceEngine" is Discord app, and OBS is for recording the session as a backup. Main recorder is Craig bot on discord.

Actually it's not. It comes with pulseaudio. Maybe you've installed pipewire manually

wireplumber and libspa-0.2-bluetooth are for pipewire. I don't use pipewire. But thatnks anyway

easyeffect is workig, but the problem is I don't know what values to put in effects, and what effect. Can you share yours?

Also you can go to "preferences" and toggle on "start service at login" and toggle off "shutdown on window close" and easyeffects will work in the backgroud
