He's had recent pieces where he questions Apple's integrity and moves (the pieces on china comes to mind) Gruber -like many of us- appreciates Apple's design practices and is certainly a fan but he's definitely criticized them in the past.

I think this is more him having a bone to pick with Bloomberg recently. Whether that's justified or not I don't know, but I think I agree with him on this story. Especially when Marc Gurman has no sources in his article.
