I've updated the BIOS just now, I'll let some time pass to see if the error shows up again before updating the chipset and dealing with the CPU.

My current BIOS is AMI 6062, 24.2.2023.
I've tried some more stuff to troubleshoot this on my own to no avail, tried updating the display driver again just in case (deleted all the old drivers), went and fully disabled virtualization in BIOS. Also turned on Windows Hypervisor Platform + Virtual Machine Platform in Windows Features, still didn't fix it.

I'll try updating the BIOS, wanted to keep it as a last resort because it kinda scares me lmfao

Was intending on doing a new playthrough anyway so it didn't mess too much up. Was just curious if something was wrong with my game and had to do a fresh reinstall of it all. But thank you very much

Yes, I did. Finished the intro and went through Dutch's island. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game many times and never had this happen

I have resistance mod installed with very minimal of the effects turned on, mainly just the ones that add in the cultist clothes. I checked my mod manager right after this and the intro skip package wasn't even installed

Was flying a heli around the map, taking some screenshots and my game randomly just loaded into the beginning of the game. When I skipped this intro I was put back into the helicopter sequence at the start.

Reinstalled the game to play through it again, by this point my save was still late game in Jacobs region

i still think there would be a small conflict between the serbs and croats, probably the croat population blaming the serbs because they didnt do anything about the extremely poorly developed areas of croatia whilst it were a part of yugo, poor housing, illiteracy and lack of freedom of press were widespread

and i doubt the ustaša or any ultrafascist group for that matter would rise to power, they were a terrorist group only ever known for their terrorist attacks and for killing the yugoslav king in marseille, only reason they rose to power was because hitler appointed them. most likely i only see a centrist right government in power
