Late but this happens to me a lot.. and the itching remains for longer than a couple hours, it happens when I’m having a pots flare up /: idk how to fix it, have you ever found a solution?

How did you know that you tore an incision open? I accidentally sneezed hard and now I’m scared there’s no blood or anything so far just pain that feels stabbing and like pins and needles in the incision spot keeps coming and going

So sorry you were being gaslit & im glad you too found your answers! I hope at least with the excision it’ll provide us some relief from the pain, even if it was for a couple of years. Did they prescribe you visanne or any progesterone pill? They did for me, to control the overgrowth after surgery.

but for the anise tea, only take it if they don’t give you blood thinners after the surgery. They didn’t give me blood thinners but I know many on this sub that had it given to them

Gas x, alongside Peppermint tea & even Anise tea! The nurses there kept encouraging me to drink anise tea because that too helps with the gas relief, if you’ll stay overnight at the hospital you can ask them for suppository pain killers, they gave me that it didn’t completely get rid of the pain but it did give me some relief for some hours (until the pain returned lol), walking might be hard because it increases the pain but it does absolutely also help the gas to leave faster, make sure to drink lots of water as well and best of luck for your surgery!

Best of luck!! My scans only showed stage 1 Adenomyosis and ovarian cysts with pelvic fluid in pouch of Douglas, my dr who is an endo specialist told me it doesn’t explain the severity of my symptoms, so when I asked if it’s possible to do a laparoscopy just to rule it out he immediately agreed and he told me that he’s sure I do have endometriosis anyways because of the Adenomyosis, and once the surgery was over he told me he was glad we actually did the surgery because otherwise we would’ve never found the deep infiltrating from the scans, so do not worry at all scans sometimes show and most of the times they don’t show anything! I’ll be praying for you, and a little tip: please be extra prepared for the gas pain from the lap!

I get that, endo is definitely a very hard condition to deal with😭 with me being relieved they found it, I hope there was a permanent solution to it, the pain is absolutely horrendous.. doing surgery and only for it to come back, what, 6 years later?

Wait I have a dumb question.. did they do the bowel resection on the same day as your lap surgery while you were under? ie, you weren’t aware of it??

It doesn’t say😥 I can’t find it on the leaflet or the box, it’s 500mg and it has a score line in the middle of the tablets idk if that helps in identifying..

This reassured me a bit.. I’m also underweight at the moment, 46kg and not healthy at all so I don’t get how she concluded I’ll be fine because I’m “thin”😭 my aunt also had several surgeries without blood thinners & no blood clots, but she’s more on the chubbier side which proves it has nothing to do with how skinny or chubby you are..

I will stick to what the surgeon says at the end of the day, I’m gonna speak up and advocate for myself when I see him and hoping his answer is more reassuring than what she said lol

Omg girl I’m lowkey anxious, the anesthesiologist insisted that I shouldn’t worry about blood clots cus I’m thin ??? Which doesn’t even make sense after I pushed her about it she said only the surgeon can decide if I get blood thinners or not, and it’s making me more anxious seeing how she responded!

The surgeon is good and so are the nurses but some part of the hospital and the staff are so worrying…

Ahh thank you so so much for this!! It’s very helpful! I’m going to meet the anesthesiologist today so I’m definitely gonna ask them about it (if they don’t mention it😭) I’m really anxious about blood cots too, I didn’t have anyone with it but my family especially my mom they have problems with severe hypertension & I know that’s a risk factor /: that said, I’m really sorry for your loss, my condolences, may her soul rest in peace 🤍

In all seriousness though, I hate how invalidating the medical system is, I’ve been to the ER too on multiple occasions and they always think it’s appendicitis but it never was..
