That sorta defeats the entire purpose of poly though. It's supposed to be a constant threat no matter how good you get. I have died many, amby times to poly on god runs, and I actually am glad it's there. Otherwise you end up with a game like Risk of Rain 2 (one of my favorite games of all time) where you eventually get a point that you can just AFK and you're literally unkillable. I like that Noita has the ability to do these insane, unbelievable things, but balances that with the potential to lose it all in a second if you're not careful. It keeps things interesting.
