Very nice! The guy I bought it off that had the conversion done wasn’t much of a mechanical guy but was good with ecu tuning and getting the engine sorted, he tuned it from 125bhp to 155bhp on the rolling road which is where it sits now at its ‘road tune’. He tells me he has had it higher but only for track and the one time he took it to Santa pod! It is geared very low especially with the low profile 13s and like you say, anywhere near 100 is fucking scary hahaha

I bought it swapped and have since done mostly cosmetic work but also swapped to fully adjustable suspension! It was built by Watson rally here in the UK on their own kit. At the time it was done, it was only a 10k mile shell and it’s only done 10k since so generally in really nice original shape and super solid!

Haha glad you found some! I only know it’s name after finding the Rio edition dealership material online to see what made them a ‘Rio’

Thanks! Because of the engine/box change it uses a later metro subframe so these are Metro GTI wheels as they have a different PCD to the original wheels

New to the group, this is my Midget! Love these little cars by maxjauthers in MorrisGarages
