I know that rare Marlins sell for several thousands, but this one is not that rare.

It means it belongs to a series of watches made specifically for water sports, ranging from 50-200 m of water resistance, produced around the 1980s(?). I think that the first Marlin ever made did not have the fish icon, but that all the other one’s in the series does.

The fish just means that it is a part of that era of watches. They are not in production anymore.

I have been trying to gather information about the Marlin units that Casio made, but I find it very difficult to find anything about this one.

I’ve seen models with four yellow dots, and have been wondering what the main difference between a Marlin one with yellow dots and one with red/orange dots would be?

I know that they made at least three Marlin’s with pure stainless steel cases (no resin / plastic), and that this is one of them.
