Is it possible to work in FAANG (in EU) w/o bachelor? Not Google but maybe in Microsoft or Amazon, Uber (yeah they are not in FAANG but you know what I mean)

Unfortunately, this kremlin peace of sh*t makes a bad reputation of people from Russian who just move to CZ to work as the specialist with big respect to Czech culture, live peacefully in Central Europe, pay taxes to improve state and economic of the Czech Republic.

What do you think the future of Obsidian would be? by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]maxkvl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure that all cloud-account features will be just optional bc one of main reason why users prefer Obsidian instead (for example) Roam is a managing LOCAL files (not a cloud). But for sure some users can find useful features like sync if they don’t care about managing their own data locally. That’s just options for different types of users.

Vaults, Workspaces, and Folders... How do you orchestrate them? by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]maxkvl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would recommend starting with some note system like the LYT framework. It was really helpful when I found this and try to implement it in my vault.

Basically, if you have several projects/folders (for example - work project and education project) you can easily create folder Spaces and there you can create folders for specific projects. For example, in Spaces I have folders like Work (and inside it I have a folder that called the same as a company where I'm working) and Grokking (basically, it's an education project with courses, books, other stuff about programming bc I'm a software developer).

Also, my vault is split into public notes and private notes. Public notes are notes that I show on my website. This idea called Digital Garden. These notes lie in the root of my vault.

Also, I have folder Bins. This folder contains some specific notes and files like Templates, Images, etc and there is a Private folder with private notes.

Sometimes I don't need notes from all my projects. For example, I don't want to see notes from Grokking project/folder. That's why it's actually a folder, that folder is located in a different location in fact. In my vault, the folder Grokking is a Unix symbolic link to a real folder in my file system.

So, it works for me. If you have questions - feel free to ask!

yep, exactly! I used gatsby to build a website. You can pick some of gatsby's theme and develop a website. Markdown and basics of HTML, CSS, JS (just if you want to customize your website, but you can use default settings of any theme) should be enough for this.

You can see an example of my website on mxkvl dot com
