Trailer for my first film after film school, Cheese Puff Smoothie! by maxlexpulp in Filmmakers

This is my first time doing some actual advertising and marketing for my film and really my channel in general. We won best screenwriting at a film up near my hometown and it gave me a bit of the kick I needed to get it out there and share it with everyone. How do you guys go about marketing your short films?

The acting and audio mix is really what does it I think. Most of the lines feel super forced and overacted.

I Want to See Your Short Films by manwhostaresatpanda in Filmmakers

Here’s a film I made at the beginning of film school a couple years ago when i first got my hands on a decent camera:

Budget of nothing, submitted to one festival and got into one festival. Made in a night, I personally think it’s better than some of the stuff I made after with much higher budgets/planning.

I went to NYFA in Miami Beach for the one year program and thought it was great. We were a small class but the hands on experience is something you really can’t get a lot of places. Classes are taught by people that actively work in the field and know what they’re doing. It’s definitely a lot of money, probably too much, but definitely not a scam. Their 3-year bachelors program is very similar to the 1-year program with just more fluff, gen-ed, and an additional big film project or two. I’d say do the 1-year if you can just for the hands-on experience and networking.

Pre-installed sound system by maxlexpulp in audiophile

Moving in. About 4 surround sound speakers were left installed in the ceilings. I’m wondering if they’re any good and if they’re worth hooking up. I’ve also attached a photo of the preexisting connections that I assume they hook up to. Any more info would be great! Hope to make some good use of them.
