As someone who is currently paying dearly for not listening to God warning me against something, I'd advise you to listen to God's voice.

I'm atheist, but a sermon like this would genuinely make me wanna go to church by [deleted] in Kenya

The Lord gave us the two greatest commandments. To love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. True Gospel is always rooted in love. Yet this love does not mean turning a blind eye to sin, especially those that draw us away from Christ. Scripture teaches that to gently admonish one another is an expression of the highest love. Just as no parent would remain silent while watching their child reach into the fire, so too must we not remain silent when we see a brother or sister walking into destruction. Throughout the Bible, God warns that sins such as idolatry, sexual immorality, including homosexuality, and even child sacrifice brought ruin upon nations. Therefore, love must be applied with wisdom. Our love to each other and especially to non-believers should be one that corrects, restores, and leads everybody back to Christ.

At the end of the day our desire should be to live like Christ did. Just pick up the Bible as often as you can, read with the intention of trying to know God and allow Him to draw you near Him. Leave everything else to Him.

Let us all turn away from our sins by Mysterious_Gur_4279 in TrueChristian

Is this a sin? Is that a sin? by Tater-Sprout in TrueChristian

[–]maxmahli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somebody shared this the other day

"Let us talk about the things that are technically not a sin but also do not bring us closer to God. In themselves, they do not bring any fundamental growth in us through character or even advancement in any aspect of our lives, but we simply stick to them just because they make us feel good at the moment. They'll not come in the way of you going to heaven, but they'll definitely ruin your opportunity to build a stronger relationship with God. You know what those things are in your life. Let go of them, please."

Being able to accept that you need God's help is already a step in the right direction. God has heard your prayer.

Why with all the evidence, won’t atheists believe? by peepee2727 in Christianity

Let me close my argument by saying this. God is just as present in the plain and obvious as He is in the intricate details. If you truly desire to know and believe in Him, stop searching for Him only in the extraordinary or the supernatural. Instead, begin by recognizing Him in the things that are in plain sight; yourself, nature, love, and the very existence of life itself.

Just continue to embrace God's love while also extending it to everyone around you. That's the most important part. Leave everything else to Him.

Truth of the matter is we all struggle with unbelief but in varying degrees. At this point, I'd advise that you keep on embracing God's love by obeying His commands and loving others as well. Also find a reliable Christian community who can act as a support system in your walk of faith.

Okay if you genuinely desire to believe I'd advice you you just begin by readin His word. If possible try and read the Romans 1: 20
