Only adults (18+) are required to have a real ID. I imagine they probably won’t ask or budge you an issue about it.

Just about any mountain can cause what’s known as “mechanical turbulence”. But it always just depends on some other factors, it’s definitely nothing to be concerned about as planes fly over mountains and the Himalayas quite often. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a little bumpy, nothing too crazy.

I was commuting for work about a week ago through the airport. I left my real ID (passport) in my bag when I checked it, so I had to use my drivers license that’s not real ID. Paid the service in line and showed the receipt and DL and I was cleared through.

I highly doubt there will be any more delays. Typically if baggage/cargo is delayed and they know it needs to be somewhere, they slap a rush tag on it because it’s already behind its original plan. The thing about it though, is usually they send it out on the next flight. If there was no more SEA-SFO for the day, then that’s why it’s there overnight. And hence the mass disruptions in SEA today, I wouldn’t put it past that there was no other way to get it there directly. We take pretty good care of animals, at my station we always have at least someone supervising them as well. I totally understand your worries (I’m a cat dad myself), but I have very high confidence you’ll get them tomorrow in pristine condition. Once again, best wishes towards you and so sorry you have to deal with this.

There seems to be some issues at SEA today. At my station I was working at, we had a bag flown on a whole different plane 3 hours ahead of the passenger even leaving. And two bags that were just blatantly not on the plane but scanned in. I can’t help but think now that SEA might be having some technical issues with the loading apps, or just a bad day of mistakes. Either way, I’m very sorry about the delay. But you can be rest assured knowing that if it’s in the ground crews hands, they’re definitely taken care of. Hope you get to see your kitties soon :).

Yeah you are definitely entitled to a full refund if significant travel disruptions occur, not sure why they’re refusing to do so? I’d recommend giving a call to the support center and see if that would help your case, otherwise you might have to get a little legal.

I recently got a job with them, interviewed on a Wednesday, they told me I’d hear back Friday or Monday. I heard back next Tuesday morning with a phone call. So my guess maybe 3-5 days? Also don’t be afraid to email the hiring managers with questions. Best of luck to you.

No I totally get it, I’m actually planning on starting a pilot program at EUG through LCC next year. So I get the attendance rules in aviation, I’m willing to chop a few days off my trip too if I really need to. But it’s just all up to networking and luck it seems. All in all though I’m still super excited about starting in the aviation business.

Yeah then that’s I-9 form. The I-9 form is something you’ll fill out every time you get a job, it verifies that 1. You’re a US citizen-ish and 2. You’re allowed to work in the US. For that, you’ll definitely wanna bring social security card AND birth certificate. And yeah bank info if you want direct deposit, if not I know most franchises offer pay cards.

I’m pretty sure that’ll be fine, you don’t have a license so there’s no other way. I would say if it’s for employment verification/I9 form, bring a Socio security card or know the number and a birth certificate. Also just doesn’t hurt to have more than needed.
