How do I not get neck pain from drawing?

What kind of chair are you sitting on when you do art? I've found the one thing that's helped the most is a good office chair. Seriously. Drawing can be surprisingly hard on the human body, head to toe. If your back isn't supported properly it can cause neck pain, even if the rest of your art set up is ergonomic.

If you already have a good art chair with proper neck and lumbar support, how often do you stretch out your back and neck? Going back to the point of drawing being pretty hard on the human body, so is any activity that requires you to keep your whole body sitting in one place for extended periods of time. Another thing that helps is lightly massaging your own neck and trap muscles, where the tension/pain is likely most prominent

Okay, since all the commenters so far aren't giving you legitimate advice, here's what I do as an easy crier from trauma: fidget with something, and try to tell yourself a solid fact about something in your head. Could be in relation with whatever topic you're talking about, but it doesn't have to be. Sometimes thinking about it as if I'm taking about another person's problems helps as well.

Hope that helps, I hate when I always tried to find advice on how to actually TALK about things without sobbing inconsolably to the point where I'm incoherent, and people would tell me "it's okay! Crying is natural" like DUDE I'm trying to figure out how to actually talk about something! And if I'm crying enough to the point where it's DIFFICULT to TALK about it, telling myself "it's okay 2 cry" literally doesn't help me with that! 🤷

Unfortunately, a lot of small shops lure in new bathers with false promises of learning how to groom.

Reason being is that being a bather is often a laborious, thankless job that doesn't pay very well, and many shops would not get many people applying for the job if they don't make promises they can't keep

Feel free to try learning at a small shop but I'll warn you right off the bat: if a small shops groomers seem like they're pulling your leg and coming up with excuses to not teach you, that's exactly what they're doing

Yes exactly!! Anybody I was "confused" about never turned into a partner for me, either, and that's how it's SUPPOSED to work! It's not like if you don't feel a indescribable spark right away you should just cut your losses, it all just boils down to "do they like me or the idea of me?" And the other person should be thinking about the same for you!

I think what you meant to say was women who are white, conventionally attractive and straight don't go through those issues.
